na3-13-dito decurtata z25 |
Measurement: 11 mm diameter and width
Featured is a Permian trilobite. The specimen is enrolled and
compressed. The pygidium is complete, but missing a section of shell.
The cephalon is crushed and disarticulated. Permian trilobites are
quite uncommon, and represent the last of a class of animals that were
going extinct. Complete D. decurtata are very difficult to find. This
specimen is a nice and typical representative of the species.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection. There appears to be
no restoration to the bug.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
