Featured is an
uncommon Greenops from the famous shale formations near Buffalo, New
York. This specimen is essentially complete. It is laterally
compressed, and the most visible side is nicely preserved. The left eye,
which is faceted, has a tiny piece of shell missing. The glabella
appears to be pushed into the shale. The right side of the Greenops is
still buried, and is covered by the big right genal spine.
This is a very nice example of an uncommon species. It was obtained
from an old collection. A little more air abrasive work will make this
specimen seriously shine!
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
