Featured is a beautiful, prone, Ordovician trilobite, Encrinuroides
capitonis, collected from the famous Bromide Formation in Carter County,
Oklahoma.
The trilobite is essentially complete. The stalked eyes are very nicely
preserved. The free cheeks appear to be missing, however. This is a
very nice example of a very uncommon species.
This specimen was obtained from an old collection. I reprepped the
specimen to clean out the grooves and smooth out the matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
