Featured is a beautiful, prone,
3D Ordovician trilobite, Homotelus bromidensis, collected from the
famous Bromide Formation in Carter County, Oklahoma. Homotelus are
becoming more difficult to obtain as time marches on.
The specimen is complete, however it was cut such
that the edge of the pygidium is likely missing. The second specimen has
a very fine cephalon with terrific eyes, but the thorax ends after only
a few segments.
This specimen was obtained from an
old collection. I reprepped the specimen to clean out the grooves and
smooth out the matrix. This is a very fine piece!
The pictures illustrate the quality of this
piece.
