Featured is a
nice Devonian Kettneraspis williamsi from the famous Haragan Shale
in Clarita, Oklahoma.
The trilobite is essentially complete, but the rock
split directly through the trilobite when it was collected. The spines
are obvious and long, though most do not extend to the fine points. The
right genal spine and eye stalk are missing. The left eye stalk stands
tall and proud.
Perhaps this piece is not perfect, but it is close and
will make a terrific display piece for any collection. It
was professionally prepared by Marc Behrendt and has no restoration to
the bug or matrix.
The pictures illustrate the quality of this piece.
