Featured is a rare
Devonian Huntonia. The cephalon, thorax and pygidium are all
present and in place. The pygidium is in very good condition, the
thorax is missing a couple segments, the cephalon is complete, though
the left eye is absent.
The glabella is lifted up on the right side, and
interestingly there is a hypostome setting
atop the right eye. It appears that the hypostome slipped out of
that gap prior to fossilization.
This specimen was professionally prepared by Marc
Behrendt and has no restoration to the bug or matrix.
