Elrathia
antiquata |
| Location: |
Floyd Co.,
Georgia |
| Period: |
Middle
Cambrian |
This lovely specimen measures 2.5 inches long. The
shell material has a thick calcite cover, which can be seen spreading
out behind the trilobite. This specimen was found at the bottom of
a running river, in a section of weathered shale. If not for the
calcite, this trilobite would have been nothing but mud! |
